Insurance Claims
An accident can be a nerve-racking experience.
Getting your vehicle fixed doesn’t have to be. 
We’ll assist you with everything from filing a claim with your Insurance company to getting you a rental car while we work on yours.
We’ll go over your car with the insurance representatives to make sure nothing is overlooked. This will assist us in returning your car to pre-accident condition.
We’ll also pick up and deliver your automobile if you wish.
To Make A Claim (ICBC)
Mid Island Collision is here to help you get through the process. The last thing you need is more hassle when making a claim when you're already dealing with the stress and confusion of an accident and having to get your vehicle looked after.
We've reviewed the information on ICBC's website for you and here is what we have found and how we can help you:
- Call Dial-A-Claim at 1-800-910-4222 or if you have internet access, you can file your claim online. Have your registration ready, accident information, police file number, and driver's license of both yourself and the other driver involved.
Dial-A-Claim hours: Greater Vancouver: 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday- Saturday: 8:00am – noon. - Make an appointment at the claims center if your car is drivable. If you qualify for the ICBC express repair program, you can call an Mid Island Collision at (250) 753-5123 and make an appointment with us to have your vehicle estimated. If the car is not drivable, ICBC will arrange with you the towing of the vehicle to Mid Island Auto Collision's shop.
- Remember, if you need alternate transportation, we have courtesy cars available throughout your repair!
To Make A Claim (Private Insurance)
- Call your private Insurer's Claims department. Have your Registration and Policy numbers, accident information, police file number, and driver's licence of both yourself and the other party(s) involved.
- Advise the telephone agent that you are using Mid Island Auto Collision as your shop of choice. At this time the agent will either advise you to have us do the estimate and fax or email it to them or they will assign a private appraiser to complete the estimate (this could either be at your house or our shop).
- Call us at (250) 753 - 5123 and let us know you have made a claim and with which insurance company you deal with.
Note: Most Private Insurance companies have "preferred" repair shops designated by geographical locations or other reasons. Your private insurance company may require you to have your vehicle estimated at a "preferred" repair facility. As the registered owner of the vehicle may have your vehicle repaired at any repair facility you choose.
